Students, meet Cinderhella! If you attend Grizzly Lake High School, this gal wields a knife with your name on it. “Dentention” is a horror comedy about teen relationships and a serial killer.
The story makes little sense, but the rapid-fire jokes are amusing at times. Sometimes they hit, sometimes they miss. Just keep plugging away and the audience may laugh a time or two.
Time travel involved and plenty of social references, but ultimately a misfires. Grade: D+
